Here you will find the answer to most of your questions concerning the ELM327 and our EOBD-Facile automobile diagnostic software.

What are the difference between the Full version and the Ultimate Version of EOBD-Facile?

In addition to the functions of the EOBD-Facile Full version, the following functions are including in the Ultimate version

    puce Recording of customised reports

    puce Check the consistency of vehicle sensor's values

Is the OBD2 interface compatible with my vehicle?

Petrol vehicles from 2001 (1996 for the USA) and diesel vehicles from 2003 are compatible. If you have any doubts, check out our information website for a complete list of OBD2 compatible vehicles.

 

Which version of Windows can I use the software with?

Our EOBD-Facile software is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8.

 

How can I activate the full version of the EOBD-Facile software.

When purchasing the full version of the software, you will receive an order confirmation email with the software to download and the procedure to get the activation key.

 

Does the price of the software include updates?

Yes, updates are included in the price of the EOBD-Facile software. The login and password provided when you registered will also work with the new versions. To download the updates, go to the download page on our information website.

 

How many PCs can I run the full version of the EOBD-Facile software on?

The licence is linked to one computer. However, with this computer you can diagnose as many vehicles as you want.
What are the differences between the various OBD2 interface units?
Except for their aspect and the material used, there is no electronic difference between the various versions offered :
- The USB Metal version includes a detachable OBD cable (adaptors can be used) and is "prettier.
- The USB plastic version is better value for money. It is more compact and fits in a pocket
- The Bluetooth version allows you to use the Android application EOBD-Facile for smartphone in addition to a computer
- The Wifi version is recommended for devices operating with iOS.

 

Can I cancel ABS, Airbag and ESP faults with the EOBD-Facile software?

No, the software only allows you to diagnose engine and gearbox faults. If an ABS, Airbag or ESP indicator lights up, only the manufacturer's kit can give a diagnosis.

 

I didn't receive the software for download

The order confirmation email with the link to download EOBD-Facile is sent automatically when you confirm the order. This email may end up in your "Spam" or "Undesirable mail" box. Remember to check these mail boxes.

 

How can I get my software activation key?

Activation codes are not sent automatically. We need you to send us the registration file created when you first connect to your vehicle, by internet or by email. Click on this link to send your file via internet.

 

Where is the registration file?

The registration file is automatically saved in the log directory of the software. On your computer, it can be found in "My documents/EOBD-Facile/log".

 

Can I delete the maintenance indicators on my vehicle?

No, it is impossible to delete maintenance indicators (oil change, service) using the EOBD-Facile software. This operation is specific to the manufacturer. Only special tools can be used to do so.

 

How can I find the OBD connector in my vehicle?

We have created a page on our information website to help you to find your OBD connector

 

I created a fault on my vehicle (disconnected the flow meter) but the software doesn't detect it.

A fault does not appear immediately after it is detected. Usually 3 or 4 driving cycles are required. If you cannot read the faults, your vehicle may not be fully compatible with the OBDII standard.
